San Francisco is our founding location! We've been coaching and playing here since 2011, and started our first official team in 2014.
The Girls Leading Girls- Sol Club
GLG- Sol’s year long skill development training is based on a curriculum developed over the last ten years by our executive team. This is a competitive club in which players are expected to take trainings and games seriously in order to improve their skills. Of course they need to have fun doing it but each player needs to display respect and effort at every game and practice. Players are expected to attend 90% of the games and practices. Playing time in games will be based on effort, results of trainings, attitude, and game dynamics. We offer specialized trainings during seasons on: goal keeping, injury prevention techniques for girls specifically (especially for the knee’s), fitness and agility.
We maintain 12-15 teams every year at the micro-soccer, recreational, prep, competitive, and travel levels for girls ages 5-18. Our goal is to remain a small, intimate, community driven, boutique club in order to maintain our quality and character. This means we are selective and do our best to provide opportunities for girls to be part of our club and our organization. We do offer open clinics with professional level athletes like Shannon Boxx and summer camps for all girls within and outside the club with collegiate teams and coaches like San Francisco State University and the Academy of Art University.
We offer financial aid and player scholarships to any families in need, we are committed to being the lowest cost club in the city and providing opportunity for all girls with the same level of quality and service. Please contact us for more information about scholarships. Read more about our costs to join and our financial aid program here.
