Girls Leading Girls Mentorship Program Launched!

Starting this July-December we are launching our first round for our new Mentorship Program for girls attending 8th-12th grade at a public school in San Francisco with successful career driven women.

Our mission for this program is to build a network of women empowering women through facilitated one on one role model matching for women and teenage girls who are career driven and want to engage in personal development.

General FAQs

  • Commitment is 1-2 touch points or 5 hours a month between the mentor and mentee each month that includes: 1 on 1 activity with their mentor (something fun that the mentor supplies like a tour of their company while talking about careers or any social challenges), a phone/text check in with their mentor, and a once every two months all group activity like a self defense class with all mentors and mentees.

  • Girls will be matched with a young professional woman mentor that works at places like Airbnb, Facebook, Salesforce, etc. and get to build a relationship with them over the course of five months in August-December.

  • Mentors and mentees are hand selected by us and matched based on application answers. We have limited spots and are able to work with about 20-25 mentees.

  • There will be awards for select mentees in the form of scholarship funding, technology, and more at the end of the program.

  • All mentors will undergo extensive background checks, screening, and training.

  • Mentors need to be able to attend the July 23rd training and August 22nd Kick off.

  • Mentees need to be able to attend the August 22nd Kick off.

  • Mentees need identify as female and need to be in 8th-12th grade this Fall at a SF public school.

  • Having soccer experience is NOT a requirement for mentors or mentees.
